WatchOCR v0.8 has been released.
This is an update release
-Most WatchOCR code has remained the same as V0.7.2, however the liveCD base has been upgraded to Knoppix 6.4.4
-For this reason, deb. files will not be updated with this release.
This is still an early beta and may have some major bugs. Please report bugs/feature request in our forums area.
Latest .deb files released
.deb files for WatchOCR v0.7.2 have been released for Ubuntu.
There are two packages. One with the backend scripts watchocr-0.7.2.deb and one with the web interface watchocrweb-0.7.2.deb
The web interface is not required to make watchocr work but makes remote administration easier.
In order to install these packages you will need to have the line
deb http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu lucid partner
in your /etc/apt/sources.list file as sun-java6-jdk is a dependancy that is not provided within the default repositories.
